Lingfield Tips: Cambodia
Covered the final 3f at Kempton 0.63s faster than odds-on favourite Severini and might have won form a better draw.
Cambodia was a huge eye-catcher on debut and it will take a good horse to beat him in the 1.30 Lingfield.
On the 16 December, Severini was backed as if defeat was out of the question at Kempton – and indeed it was but Camodia would have given him a fright.
Drawn wide in stall 9, he had to race in rear behind a steady gallop (105.8% finishing speed) but he showed a tremendous turn of foot to come from last to second with a 34.58s closing sectional, covering the final 3f 0.63s faster than Severini.
This was all achieved on debut and the half-brother to Grendisar has a huge future on the all-weather.
