Lingfield Tips: Burnt Cream
Showed a potent turn of foot to win in the shadow of the post last time but was by no means flattered.
Robert Havlin was widely praised for his winning ride on Burnt Cream last time but the margin of victory actually under-sold the performance.
The pace was solid, 103% finishing speed compared to average race speed but I don’t believe the race set-up for the closers; the second and third placed horses were prominent throughout.
Burnt Cream showed an electrifying burst of speed to cover the final 2f in 21.85s, the fastest closing sectional on the card.
The handicapper has only raised her 3lbs and she gets to compete in the same grade in the 2.35 Lingfield.
Bubbly Bailey should ensure it is run at a proper gallop and Burnt Cream can pick off the leaders again.
