Lingfield Tips: Black Cadillac
Checked in his run at a crucial stage last week but still finished a close third.
Having endured several near misses I was very tempted to back Haadeeth in the 2.50 Lingfield but for whatever reason his speed ratings are down on this time last year and he just seems slightly below his best.
Beyond Haadeeth, there is little strength in depth in the race, which leaves only one option – Black Cadillac.
After missing the second half of 2012, presumably through injury, he has started to regain his form recently. He finished a decent third behind Blue Jack a week ago, despite being hampered at a crucial stage around the bend. His jockey had to delay his run for a couple of strides and that let the leaders get away from him.
Last spring he was clocking RPRs of 80 on the all-weather and racing off a mark of 67 today, he looks handicapped. At 10/3 (Skybet) he rates a solid bet.
