Lingfield Tips: Apache Glory
Found her path blocked when tying to quicken off a slow pace. A stronger gallop will see her in a better light.
The 1.50 Lingfield isn’t the highest quality race you’ll see this winter and at this level desire counts for a lot.
Apache Glory has won 7/36 races, a good strike rate for a moderate handicapper. Last time out she wasn’t beaten far over 10f at Lingfield and I expect she can improve on that performance.
Apache Glory spent 2014 racing almost exclusively in class 5 handicaps but her winless run has seen her drop to a mark of 65, making her eligible for class 6 handicaps.
On her last start over course and distance, she was only beaten 2.5 lengths but didn’t have the run of the race.
The early pace was muddling and then she found her path blocked when trying to quicken. Despite those issues, she still ran the final 2f in 23.1s, the second fastest in the race.
That performance came after a six-week absence and should put her spot on for today. With a strong pace and a good draw, she should go close at 7/1 (Bet365).
