Lingfield Tips: Alaskan Bullet

Poor start cost him the race eight days ago. Should go close if getting out the stalls ok.

Eight days ago Six Wives, Alaskan Bullet and Moorhouse Lad battled it out in a class 3 handicap and the reading of that form is crucial to understanding the 2.55 Lingfield.

Six Wives was the best of the trio, finishing second, but Alaskan Bullet was the unlucky horse after giving away four lengths because of a slow start. He ended up losing the race by 1.75 lengths and the result would have been different with a better start.

Alaskan Bullet can be a bit of a monkey at the stalls but he breaks on level terms more often than not. Only 3-years-old, his behaviour should improve the more he races.

A wide draw in stall 10 shouldn’t be a problem for a horse that likes to tuck-in behind the leaders. His performances are improving on every visit to the track and at 4/1 (Stan James) he looks the best bet.
