Lingfield Tips: Ajjaadd
At his best on downhill tracks and will enjoy chasing a strong pace.
The 1.00 Lingfield is a cracking contest, especially for a mid-week card, featuring some high calibre sprinters.
The quality of the race must have sent the bookmakers into shock because that is the only feasible explanation as to why the betting market is upside-down!
Forest Edge and Addictive Dream are both talented sprinters but most of their wins have come at 6f, therefore I’m surprised to see them prominent in the betting for this 5f contest.
With the likes of Tangerine Trees and Jiroft in the field I expect a strong gallop and that could set-up the race for Ajjaadd.
Runner-up in the Steward’s Cup, Ted Powell’s sprinter is at his best chasing a strong gallop on a downhill track. He’s won at places like Epsom and Lingfield (AW & turf) and if he breaks on terms from stall 1, he should go close in a race where conditions suit.
