Lingfield Racing Tip: Royal Bajan
Much improved since being gelded and won in a very good time last week.
The 3.25 at Lingfield is a one horse race so, in an unusual move, I’m backing the favourite.
A week ago, Royal Bajan was backed at any price, eventually starting as the 5/2 favourite. I couldn’t understand it, he looked exposed and a one dimensional front runner. The money was right, I was wrong.
His run at Lingfield was his first outing since being gelded and it has made a huge difference. He dominated his rivals, making all to score in a fast time. Today he is 13/8 and although short, I still think there is a hint of value.
Compared to last week we know he has the beating of his rivals (Even Bolder, Sherjawy and Welsh Inlet are back for more) having vastly improved since his operation. I make him an even money chance so I recommend taking some of the 13/8 (Stan James) whilst it is about.
