Lingfield Tip: Go Nani Go

Ignore his last run on poor ground. Before that he placed in four consecutive sprints.

Having spent most of his career plying his trade at a higher level, Go Nani Go looks excellent value at 12/1 (Ladbrokes) for the 5.30 at Lingfield. The horse has suffered with back problems and hardly saw a racetrack for two years until the move to Ed de Giles. He has since won once and placed three times for his new trainer.

A hold-up performer, he should be suited to the track, and the good gallop Boogie Waltzer will set. He finished a long way behind on his last start, but the ground was very soft that day. Ed de Giles confirmed that view on his website, stating ‘Go Nani Go hated the ground at Goodwood which sort of surprised me but was the definite excuse.’

Forgive that run because before that he showed a good level of form to finish runner-up to Fair Value. That horse turned out to be extremely well handicapped and has since gone up 16lbs in the weights making Go Nani Go’s form look even stronger.
