Lingfield Tip: Future Impact

Has the best draw and trainer has shown he is capable of revitalising sprinters.

I will make no attempt to hide the fact that the tip in the 6.55 at Lingfield is almost purely down to the draw.

The straight track on Lingfield’s turf course has one of the biggest biases in the country. Horses drawn on the stand’s rail, the highest draw possible, win six times more often that they should. In the corresponding race last year, Chinese Democracy won from stall 16/16 and the same could happen again.

Future Impact has the plum draw, berthed in box 15 out of 15. Although a maiden, he is having his first run for Ed de Giles and he could leave his old form behind.

This rookie trainer is having some success with moderate horses. Living It Large won at 12/1 on his first start for the yard and after a 3 month lay off Future Impact could do the same. Once rated 80 in Ireland, he only needs to recover some of his form off a mark of 61, with the draw doing the rest.
