Lingfield Tips: Rowe Park
Travelled well without quite getting home over 6f. All his wins have come at 5f and he reverts to that trip today.
The 3.40 Lingfield should be run at a strong pace with Monumental Man, Howyadoingnotsobad and Decision By One all used to forcing the gallop. This should set up the race beautifully for Rowe Park.
Linda Jewell’s ten-year-old has regressed since his peak rating in the 100s but he is still a very capable horse on his day. On his last two starts, he’s travelled well but not quite got home over 6f; no surprise as all 11 of his career wins have come at the minimum trip.
Rowe Park’s last two performances were awarded Racing Post Ratings of 89, which is already 5lbs above his current mark. Considering they weren’t achieved at his optimal distance, he should be able to run to a rating in the mid-90s, thus making him well handicapped and a good bet at 5/1 (William Hill).
