Lingfield Racing Tips: Zorro De La Vega
Has won 4 of his 7 races under today’s conditions; never outside the top three. Make the most of this opportunity before the ground turns against him.
Renard is going to be all the rage in the 3.10 at Lingfield but at the price he is worth opposing. Last time out he won in soft ground at Cheptsow, the sharp Lingfield track on good ground is a totally different proposition where the emphasis will be on speed.
Of the opposition Zorro De La Vega looks much better value. After missing almost all of last season with injury he has bounced back in the autumn with a consistent run of form. He has won twice in this grade since August and was a close second at Uttoxeter in October.
Although only eight-years-old, this experienced chaser has an excellent record over two miles at a class four level, his results reading: 2314551121. If you remove the races on going described as soft or worse, his record improves to: 2311121.
Today’s race is his fifth in just over a month, but connections are trying to cram in as many as possible whilst the ground and weather are still good. Make the most of the 8/1 (Boylesports) before he disappears for the winter.
