Lingfield Racing Tips: Sherjawy
Placed in half of his eight runs over course and distance and a consistent performer at this level.
Sherjawy is starting to rack up a worrying losing run, but his performances are so consistent he is good each-way bet in the 4.40 Lingfield.
Zoe Davison’s 8-year-old has been going almost non-stop since the winter but this hardy sprinter rarely has an off day. Since December his 5f record at Lingfield in class 6 races reads 82482335.
There might be an absence of wins but he has placed in 50% of his starts.
All-weather races tend to be moderate affairs, especially during the summer when the better horses gravitate towards the turf. This looks a particularly weak class 6 contest and although Sherjawy isn’t one to get carried away with, he offers each-way value at 12/1 (Betfred) with 1/5 odds for a top-3 finish.
