Lingfield Racing Tip: Qadar
Should have won last time out. With a clear run compensation is due today.
I’m looking for some recompense in the 4.10 at Lingfield. Qadar was my tip in the Blue Square Series Final a month ago and he should have won.
Almost everything went wrong. Firstly he was hampered on the first bend losing two lengths; in a slowly run race this is a disaster. He then showed great aptitude to round three rivals on the final bend to get back into contention. Unfortunately this move sent him very wide, costing him a couple of lengths. He was closing on the leader up the straight but was left with too much to do.
Go back one race when he had a much clearer trip and he blitzed the likes of Norville. If he gets a clear run and a strong pace to aim at, I’m inclined to judge him on his 19th February run. After that victory his trainer, Alan McCabe, thought he was still listed class. If he is even close to that level he should win easily.
