Lingfield Racing Tip: Jimmy Ryan

The strong pace should play into the hands of this lightly raced 10 year old.

A small field as usual in the 4.10 at Lingfield but jam packed full of pace, with half the field front runners.

Although 10 years old, Jimmy Ryan hasn’t got many miles on the clock, with only 18 runs to date. He was off the track for over four years, making his comeback in August 2009.

Clearly fragile, Jimmy Ryan has strung some decent performances together, with two good runs over course and distance. In his last race he was forced very wide round the bend but he stayed on nicely to get second.

His performances this winter are better than anything in the field, with the exception of the difficult to win with, Black Baccara. He will enjoy the strong pace and this is a great chance to record his first win since 2004.
