Price simply too big for a last time out course and distance winner.
Getting 15/2 (Stan James) on a last time out course and distance winner always looks like good business to me and that is exactly what we are getting with Catalinas Diamond in the 3.55 Lingfield.
Always racing in a handy position, she showed a good turn of foot to win on her last visit to Lingfield. That was her first career victory but I wouldn’t be put off by her poor strike rate. She started her three-year-old career rated 86 and it has taken a while for her to drop to a realistic mark.
As a juvenile she was good enough to finish 5th at Royal Ascot and although she will never reach that exalted company again, she could be a little better than her 15/2 quote with Stan James.
