Lingfield Betting Tip: Black Baccara

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the betting for the 17.25 at Lingfield. The bookmakers have priced Black Baccara as third favourite, which is very generous.

She has been on the go all winter but has shown no sign of dropping away in form, if anything she is steadily getting better. She has now finished in the top three in her last seven runs, yielding one win. It is not a sign that she is un-genuine; she is consistent which is compliment.

Her best runs have come over five furlongs with blinkers on, as she can be quite headstrong. Last time she raced over course and distance she won very comfortably, she has the same conditions today.

I should mention the favourite Estonia, who merits plenty of respect. He was hampered last time out at Kempton which probably cost him the race. He needs a strong gallop to be seen at his best and he might not get that today with only Step It Up and Black Baccara in the field.
