Lingfield Betting: Cracking The Code

This horse should leave his previous form behind after a probable wind operation. The 33/1 on offer is great value.

The 3.25 at Lingfield is round seven of the Blue Square Sprint series. A series so evenly matched they take turns beating each other. That would normally make it a race to avoid but there is a very interesting Irish runner aptly named Enigma Code.

His Irish trainer James McAuley has brought seven runners over to England this weekend. Of this former Dundalk winner he said on his website, ‘He only started back training five or six weeks ago but has been in great form and has had a good gallop in Dundalk recently. Joseph won on him last season over 7 furlongs so let’s hope he can run a nice race again.

The key to this runner is what has gone on in his 207 day break. Enigma Code returns today wearing a tongue strap for the first time, coupled with his lay off it screams wind operation. Quite often horses can have problems breathing and it is not an uncommon operation. The benefits can be dramatic improvement.

Bearing in mind he did win his last all weather start we are getting excellent value at 33/1.
