Leicester Racing Tips: Ajjaadd

Won the race last year, handles the conditions and been running well without much luck lately.

The 4.00 Leicester has been decimated by withdrawals due to the heavy rain. Fortunately, there are enough front-runner left in the field for the complexion of the race not to change too much.

The race should set-up for a horse coming from off the pace; in soft conditions I doubt the front-runners will be able to sustain the early gallop.

Ajjaadd won the race last year, has form on soft ground and hasn’t done much wrong since. Twice he was boxed in at Ascot during the summer and on his last start at Sandown he raced too prominently from a wide draw.

Although he has shot up in the weights since his win last year, he is racing against most of the same opposition who he beat comfortably. Unfortunately, his price has lost a bit of value since the withdrawals but at 10/3 (William Hill) he still looks a fair bet.
