Kempton Tips: Duke Of North
Beaten by the draw last time but still ran the fastest closing sectional. Has lucked out with stall one this evening.
Jim Boyle did us a favour with new recruit Searchlight on Monday and hopefully he can work the oracle on another relatively new acquisition in the form of Duke Of North.
Last time he caught the eye from a bad draw. Marooned in stall 12 all Pat Cosgrave could do was take a pull and position him at the rear of the pack. Unfortunately the leader set almost perfect fractions which meant very little changed throughout the race.
The only horse to make any significant gains was Duke Of North who came from last to finish fifth only two lengths behind the winner, running the fastest closing sectional in the process.
This evening he is well drawn in stall 1 and this lightly raced sprinter could find some improvement for his Epsom handler at 7/2 (William Hill).
