Kempton Tips: Dreaming Of Paris
Missed engagement last week but ran a 21.65s closing sectional on debut from a difficult draw.
Dreaming Of Paris ticks all the boxes in terms of connections, trainer and jockey and can win the 5.15 Kempton.
Berthed in the widest stall on debut last month, life was never going to be easy but she was undone by the pedestrian early gallop. Forced to race in rear after a slow start, the field never came back to her and she couldn’t land a blow on the useful winner.
Despite finishing third, she stood out on sectionals clocking a ridiculously fast closing 2f split of 21.65s, the 27th fastest closing sectional at the track from the last 4,494 runners. The time was influenced by the steady pace but also hinted at ability in the well-bred filly.
William Carson will find life easier from stall 2 and can help Dreaming Of Paris can lose her maiden tag.
