Hamilton Tip: Roker Park
Third in the race two years ago, he arrives in fine fettle. Well drawn and should have the race run to suit.
The 7.45 at Hamilton is a high quality sprint handicap. Last year all the action unfurled down the stand’s side and those drawn high should have an advantage again.
Drawn in stall ten - Roker Park arrives at the top of his game. Last time out he won at Chester from effectively stall seven. Not the best draw but the breakneck gallop played into his hands; the big field at Hamilton should create a similar race. A winner in two of his last three, it could have been a hat-trick if his jockey hadn’t lost an iron at Newcastle.
Two years ago he finished third in this very race. Forced to switch round horses, he lost momentum at a crucial stage costing him victory. That day he was racing off 94, on Friday he races off 91, so he certainly isn’t handicapped out of it. It pays to follow sprinters in form and Roker Park could score another win.
