Hamilton Tips: Star Of Spring
Showed some promise on her first start for Iain Jardine and her new trainer has an 18% strike rate at Hamilton.
Iain Jardine does tremendously well with his small string, for the past three seasons (including the current one) he’s enjoyed a 14% strike rate and a healthy level stakes profit.
The market hasn’t adjusted to his training talents yet and can improve on his already impressive 18% strike rate (7-38) at Hamilton in the 4.15 contest.
Star Of Spring is having her second run for her new trainer and shaped with promise at Musselburgh on her seasonal reappearance. She didn’t look the easiest of rides and was outpaced over 7f on fast ground but she plugged on well, clocking the second fastest closing sectional and should improve for the step up to a mile.
She is still a maiden but ran a series of solid races last season and might be a bit better than her current rating if Jardine can work his magic. Royston French takes the ride and his 24% strike rate (4-17) for Jardine suggests Star Of Spring could be ready to win.
