Goodwood Tips: Arctic Feeling

Arctic Feeling has endured rotten luck this season but can capitalise on a falling handicap mark in the 5.25 Goodwood.

Last time out he ran a fine race to finish third at Chester despite being lumbered with the worst draw. He was beaten 6.5 lengths but would have finished closer if he hadn’t been hampered in the straight.

A combination of draw, ground and interference have ruined the rest of his races this season and you have to go back to the start of May, again at Chester, for the last time he was able to show his true colours. He finished 2.25 lengths behind the winner, in a higher grade than today’s race.

Down to a career low mark, Arctic Feeling has been a victim of circumstances beyond his control. He should therefore be able to benefit from the drop in grade and looks overpriced at 20/1 with William Hill.
