Wolverhampton Tips: Arctic Feeling

Unlucky third last time out; left with too much to do after racing in rear behind a wall of horses.

All-weather specialists Khawatim and My Son Max are of interest after lengthy absences in the 7.00 Wolverhampton but it is difficult to gauge what sort of form they are in, therefore I’m sticking with the more recently raced Arctic Feeling.

Richard Fahey’s horse advertised his well-being two starts back when he ran out a comfortable winner at Pontefract. He followed up with a creditable third over today’s course and distance but his performance deserves a big upgrade.

After a sluggish start, he found himself at the back of the pack and despite travelling well Samantha Bell had nowhere to go. She bided her time until a gap appeared but by then the race was over.

It is difficult to say whether Arctic Feeling would have won with a clear run but he was at least the second best horse in the race behind Forest Edge, who has won again since.

With better luck, horse and jockey can make amends this evening at 5/1 (BetVictor).
