Fleckerl Impresses On The Clock
Fleckerl won his last two starts at Lingfield and his 21.58s sectional was the 13th fastest from the last 3,334 runners at the track.
On his like start, Fleckerl was backed as if defeat was out the question and indeed it was as he prevailed by 1.75 lengths.
The most impressive element of his win was he came from last to first off a steady pace (108.9% finishing speed) with a closing sectional of 21.58s.
Anything below the 22-second barrier is noteworthy and Fleckerl clocked the fastest closing sectional on the card by 0.55s and the 13th fastest closing sectional from the last 3334 runners at Lingfield.
This performance wasn’t a fluke judging from the weight of money in the morning and he’d shown potential when winning on the 20 January, again running the fastest sectional of the race by some margin.
It might be Lingfield (won his last two starts at the track) or it could be Conor Dore getting to the bottom of him. Either way he is a horse to have on side at 6/1 (Bet365).
