Ffos Las Tips: Benheir
Gets the trip, handles heavy ground and still unexposed over fences.
Not much to get excited about but the 2.45 Ffos Las is probably the best race of the day. There are a couple of unexposed horses in the field and that is where the value lies.
Benheir is having only his 12th start under rules and his 5th over fences and could turn out a bit better than the rest. A winner off 129 over hurdles last season he doesn’t looked badly treated racing off 130 over fences, especially considering he has already won over the big obstacles this year.
A previous winner in heavy ground he should handle the testing conditions and the trip shouldn’t be a worry either. In November he won over 3m2f and will probably get further in time. At 15/2 (Bet365) he looks the best bet of the day.
