Newcastle Tips: Lady Bacchus
David Egan got the fractions wrong last time over a trip that stretches her stamina. Unexposed at 5f and last winning jockey back aboard.
Last time out Lady Bacchus tried to make all at 6f but things didn’t go well. David Egan (perhaps down to a lack of experience) set a crazy gallop that was never sustainable.
Lady Bacchus’s finishing speed was 91.3% of her average race speed, a 6f specialist couldn’t have seen the race out let alone a horse who is better suited by the minimum trip.
Connections have sensibly dropped her back to 5f and Connor Beasley takes the ride having steered her to victory over course and distance a month ago.
Unexposed at 5f and still off a very low mark there could be more to come from Lady Bacchus and we can forgive her last run.
