Dark Lane Can Light Up Lingfield

Winner last time out and well drawn for what could turn into a tactical affair.

The absence of front-runners means the 12.55 Lingfield could be settled by a combination of draw and jockeyship.

A low draw is usually an advantage at Lingfield and if the leaders aren’t stopping you have to be well positioned in the race.

Chris Caitlin has almost the perfect draw in stall 5 on Dark Lane. It means he can race just behind the leaders but without the danger of being boxed in on the rail.

As for the horse, he is a regular winner and has been in good form recently. He’s won twice since the start of November and the only time he was beaten by more than 2.25 lengths he was poorly drawn.

In what could be a messy race, I’m playing the percentages and 10/1 (Coral) is good reward for a horse who has plenty in his favour.
