Chepstow Tips: Swendab
Won both his starts at the track and trainer has a level stakes profit of £71.75 with his runners at Chepstow.
Chepstow is an idiosyncratic track which generates numerous course specialists. Swendab has won both his starts at the Welsh racetrack and he could keep his 100% record going in the 8.10.
His recent stint on the all-weather can be ignored as he’s not at his best on an artificial surface but go back to his turf form and he is plenty good enough to win a race of this calibre. He placed three time off a mark of 72 last season and has since been dropped 6lbs by the handicapper.
Trainer John O’Shea also has a terrific record at the track, he enjoys a 21% strike rate, with his runners returning a level stakes profit of £71.75.
Swendab’s absence from a racetrack isn’t much of a concern either. He won on his seasonal debut in 2011 and his trainer’s record at Chepstow with horses returning after an 80-day layoff or more is 0912120.
