Chelmsford Tips: Ziggys Star
Struggled during the summer but ran an eye-catching closing sectional on his return from a 5-month layoff.
Ziggys Star really struggled on turf during the summer finishing tallied off twice at Nottingham. Those heavy defeats prompted a spell on the sidelines but whatever Mick Appleby did to the horse; it seems to have worked.
He was only beaten 4.5 lengths on his return from a five-month layoff and ran an encouraging sectional adjusted speed rating of 63.
The 3-year-old was slowly away and understandably a bit keen on his comeback but he clocked the third fastest closing sectional and should strip fitter for the run.
Ziggys Star is an interesting contender for the 2.50 Chelmsford and worth the risk at 8/1 (Bet365).
