Chelmsford Tips: Indigo Princess
Lightly raced and only beaten 2.75 lengths on return from a 9-month layoff. Ran a fast time for the grade and potentially more to come.
Indigo Princess is amongst the least exposed horses in the 7.30 Chelmsford but there is hope she can win this low-grade race and go onto better things.
She first caught the eye on debut back in January. Slowly into stride and niggled along in rear she was very green but once she got the hang of things she flew home, clocking the fastest closing sectional.
After a couple more spins on the all-weather to little avail she disappeared for 9 months, presumably a result of a training set back. She wasn’t fancied much on her return (SP 33/1) but despite racing wide she was only beaten 2.75 lengths, staying on well at the finish in an above average race for the grade.
With one good speed rating under her belt and some fair sectionals she might be up to winning a small race.
