Chelmsford Tips: Flying Bear
Ran a 21.69s closing sectional at Lingfield on his return from a 5-month absence. Drops down in grade this afternoon.
Flying Bear ran an absolute cracker after a 5-month layoff and he doesn’t need to improve much to win the 4.00 Chelmsford.
Jeremy Gask’s sprinter found himself in a hot handicap on his return but acquitted himself well. Flying Bear flew home in 21.69s, the second fastest sectional in the race and he recorded a good speed rating despite the race not being run at a flat-out gallop.
Any sub-22s sectional at Lingfield deserves respect but the handicapper has dropped Flying Bear a pound, which crucially qualifies him for 0-75 contests.
With a good draw and strong pace to aim at, he should relish the drop in class and I’d be surprised if he didn’t go close at 9/4 (Bet365).
