Brighton Tips: Pour La Victoire
Won the race last year and although 6lbs higher in the handicap, he returns in cracking form.
Pour La Victoire returns to defend his Brighton Bullet title in the 4.10 contest and although he is off a 6lbs higher mark he’s in brilliant form.
Like last year, this is his second run of the week at Brighton and he shaped with credit when a close fourth over a mile on Wednesday, a trip on the very limit of his stamina.
Three starts back he won in this grade, over today’s course and distance in impressive fashion. A 2.5 length winner he was value for a bit more, after clocking the fastest closing sectional.
After adjusting for pace, he earned a speed rating of 77, good enough to win a class 4 handicap and fractionally above his official mark.
Georgia Cox takes off a very handy 7lbs and can steer Pour La Victoire to another victory in this race.
