Brighton Tips: Diamond Charlie
Has been running adjusted speed ratings in the 70s on the all-weather and although not as good on turf races off 60.
Diamond Charlie is primarily an all-weather horse but he has won on turf before and has been given a massive chance on grass with an official rating of 60.
Over the winter he’s been running well without getting his head in front. Three times in his last four starts he’s run an adjusted speed rating in the 70s and generally looks in good form.
He’s not nearly as good on turf but that is reflecting in his rating and at least connections have chosen a downhill track where the going is currently rated good to firm.
The handicapper has given Diamond Charlie a chance and so should we at 3/1 (Bet365).
