Brighton Tips: Deftera Lad
Has run better than the bare form of late. A poor draw and a slow pace compromising his last two starts.
On a tricky day’s racing, the value lies with Deftera Lad in the 2.40 Brighton.
In five starts, he’s yet to finish higher than fourth but has run with promise on occasion.
Last time out he was beaten by the wide draw at Kempton and before that he was undone by a steady pace at Lingfield but still came home in a respectable 22.74s, the third fastest sectional in the race.
This afternoon he is having his first turf start, so we are taking a risk but at 14/1 (Bet365) we are well rewarded if he goes on grass.
