Brighton Races Tip: Piazza San Pietro
Ran well from a poor draw at Lingfield last time. Highly progressive, he is a cut above the rest of this field.
Everything went wrong for Piazza San Pietro on his last run and he can make amends in the 4.40 at Brighton. Running over an inadequate five furlongs, he raced furthest away from the favoured stands rail. Given that conditions were against him, fifth place was a creditable finish.
His opposition today all have question marks over them. Peter Island has never won on going softer than good to firm, so the recent rain will not help him. Joint second favourite Magical Speedfit has never won over further than five furlongs so he can also be ruled out. The rest all seem outclassed. Piazza San Pietro will not find a better opportunity to win all season.
