Brave Hero A Record Holder
Set the juvenile course record at Lingfield on debut, which converted to a big speed rating when adjusting for track conditions.
Course records need to be taken with a pinch of salt because they are affected by track conditions, pace of the race and even the wind however Brave Hero’s performance on debut marked him out as special.
Maiden’s can often be muddling affairs but Severini acted as an accidental pace-maker when going off ludicrously fast at Lingfield on the 25 November. The only horse able to go with him was Brave Hero, who kept up the gallop to set a new juvenile course record.
Even after adjusting for pace and the speed of the track the time stood out, with Brave Hero earning a whopping speed rating of 90 on debut.
He’s up against stiffer opposition in the 3.20 Newmarket and races on turf for the first time. However we know there’s talent and is one to keep on side.
