In a race where there are question marks against every runner I’m taking a chance that Monsieur Joe can recapture his best form in the 3.40 Beverley.
This time last year he was winning a Group 3 in France, but as often happens he’s struggled to find his form after a winter in Dubai.
A couple of early season spins in France were nothing more than ok and he was given 3 months off during the summer.
On his comeback at Leicester a fortnight ago, everything went wrong. He twisted a shoe so badly it was actually visible on camera, it must have been incredibly painful so I am willing to forgive his poor run.
Well drawn in stall 3, he can sit stalking the pace and if back to his best, he’s good enough to win at 16/1 (Boylesports).
