Bath Tips: Night Carnation
Winner of a Group 3 sprint last season, has bags of speed and should handle the underfoot conditions.
Only five of the eleven fillies in the 6.30 Bath are rated above 100 and they should have the race between them. I cannot see any of the others finding enough improvement to be competitive.
Night Carnation has the best form in the race and looks the strongest bet. She was slightly inconsistent last season but did win three of her six races, including a Group 3.
Andrew Balding rates her highly, as at one stage the Group 1 Abbaye was mooted for her. She should have improved over the winter and this looks the perfect place to show it.
