Bath Tips: Multitask
Combination of soft ground, stronger grade and lack of racing room contributed to defeat last time. Conditions more in his favour this afternoon.
Multitask has been one of the finds of the all-weather season and although he finished midfield on his first turf start of the year he can be given a second chance in the 2.40 Bath.
The 5-year-old sprinter put up some notable sectional times at Lingfield, finishing his races with a devastating burst of pace.
He travelled well for a long way at Ascot but a combination of traffic problems and soft ground blunted his turn of foot and he could only finish eighth.
Dropped in grade and on quicker ground, I expect Multitask to return to the form that wowed me on the all-weather.
The return of Liam Keniry, on board for his last two wins, is another bonus and at 9/1 (William Hill) he is a very fair price.
