Kempton Tips: Multigifted

Kempton Tips: Multigifted

Sister of prolific all-weather winner, Multitask. Unlucky last time out when hampered trying to quicken off a steady pace.

With blistering sectionals and ten wins on the all-weather, Multitask is one of my favourite winter horses. During the summer, he moved to Gary Moore and continues to run well but William Harmes might have an able replacement in the form of his sister Multigifted.

The 3-year-old has only one win in 18 starts but it took a while for Multitask to reach his peak and there’s still plenty of time for his sibling to improve.

Last time out she ran one of her best races of the season, when a close third at Windsor. She wasn’t helped by the steady gallop (106.8% finishing speed) nor the winner cutting across her on the rail. She lost momentum and was forced to switch wide into a quickening pace but finished strongly, with the second fastest closing sectional of the race.

In defeat, she earned an adjusted speed rating of 64 and can make hay off a mark of 57, down in grade. Last time she tackled 11f at Kempton she bumped into two improving 3-year-olds (the winner is now rated 84) but she came clear of the rest.

There is nothing of that calibre in the 8.40 Kempton and hopefully she can step out of her brother’s shadows.
