Bath Tips: Ginzan

Loves the track and has won three of her last four starts at 5f.

The 2.40 Bath is a cracking betting market with a very short favourite that should be opposed. Gladiatrix has won her last three starts but she is up in grade and facing some battle hardened older horses. Her last victory came in a class 6 amateur race, which isn’t normally the most reliable form.

I’m taking her on with course specialist Ginzan. Twice a winner at Bath for local trainer Malcolm Saunders, she seems to be improving with every run. She has won three of her last four starts over 5f, her only defeat excusable when slow out of the gates.

One her last start she produced a career best to win a class 4 handicap, in a decent time. She looked more comfortable than her margin of victory suggests and 10/1 (William Hill) is a big price for a horse at the top of her game.
