Tumbled down the weights but hinted at a revival on his last start. Fast ground key to his chances.
Burning Thread has tumbled down the weights in the last couple of seasons and having won a handicap off a mark of 94, he should be competitive off 77.
Having been out of form all year he hinted at a revival 10 days ago at Beverley. Chasing a strong pace from a wide draw, he was only beaten by 3-lengths in a race that favoured hold-up horses.
He races in the same grade this afternoon but on paper it looks a far easier contest. The firm ground is also in his favour and he looks overpriced at 7/1 (Bet365).
