The 3.10 at Bath is a simple race to deduce. The pace will be forced by Spic’n’Span and Decider. Between them they are 41 races without a win on turf and therefore easily scratched from the betting.
Bateleur, Welcome Approach and Metropolitan Chief are all six furlong horses so they can removed too. Of the rest, only Rebecca Romero is a viable candidate and she arrives on top form.
A winner in a good time at Lingfield she will enjoy the fast pace of the race. In two visits to Bath she has finished 23 for a trainer who has a 17% strike rate at the track. She is well drawn out wide and, has Richard Hughes on board who has finished 21 on the horse. Her small stable are amongst the winners and she has conditions that suit her perfectly.
