Bath Races Tip: Wooden King
Has won four of his last six and the handicapper still hasn’t caught up with him.
The 3.00 at Bath represent one of the best opportunities for Wooden King to extend his winning sequence. He really found himself towards the end of last season running up a series of good performances. His last two visits to Bath have seen him walk away with the spoils, both over today’s intermediate trip of 5f 161yards.
It looked like he needed his first run in five months when he finished 6th at Windsor, having raced prominently before fading. That was proven correct when he clung on by a short head next time out at Chepstow.
Today’s race does not look any more difficult and it often pays to stick with sprinters on form.
