Ascot Tips: Multitask

Has been terrific on the all-weather regularly clocking sub-22s finishes at Lingfield. Return to turf is a slight unknown but we are compensated by the price.

Multitask has been a revelation on the all-weather this winter and I can’t let him go unbacked in the 5.00 Ascot.

Winner of the Sprint Series Final at Lingfield he’s got a good level of form to his name but it’s been the manner of his victories that have impressed.

In his last two races he’s recorded final 2f sectionals of 21.5s and 21.7s which is seriously quick and indicative of a horse who is better than an official rating of 75.

If he were racing at Lingfield I’d have no worries but will he be the same horse on turf?

He has very little form on grass but he is a much better horse than a year ago. A combination of a hood and simply learning his craft means he’s won three of his last four starts and was desperately unlucky when he lost.

Jamie Spencer is an eye-catching booking and at 10/1 (BetVictor) we are getting a good price in what is admittedly a hot race.
