No Hassle For The Hoff
Hasn’t missed a cut at the Houston Open in seven starts and enjoying a solid season with seven top-25s.
Charley Hoffman was on the periphery of the leaderboard for the entire week in Texas, eventually finishing T11. It keeps his excellent run going and I am happy to go in again at 66/1.
Hoffman has seven top-25 finishes from 11 starts this season and unlike Samson, being shorn of his locks hasn’t adversely affected his power. He ranks 16th for driving distance, 20th for GIRs and 18th for birdie average.
The 37-year-old is yet to miss the cut at the Houston Open in seven visits with a highest finish of T6 in 2008. That makes him an excellent each-way bet at 66/1 (Paddy Power) with ¼ odds for a top-6 finish.
