Shane Bertsch Has Place Prospects

Finished third last year and overpriced on a course that suits him.

Shane Bertsch is the highest finisher from last year’s event and at 90/1 he is a good each-way bet.

The 43-year-old shot an opening 65 to lead after the first round and although he could not live with Patrick Cantlay, he still finished a very respectable third.

The worry with Bertsch is that he hasn’t tasted victory since 2005, but both Skip Kendall and Steve Pate won in Colombia well into their 40s and at 90/1 (Bet365) we could steal some place money.
