Arnold Palmer Invitational Tips: Kevin Kisner

Arnold Palmer Invitational: Kevin Kisner

Ranked ninth tee-to-green on tour this season. Waiting for the putter to heat up but that shouldn’t take long.

At the start of last season, there were a couple of months when Kevin Kisner was the hottest player on the planet, winning the RSM Classic along with a slew of other top-10s. He’s cooled since then but we shouldn’t forget what an excellent player he is.

Not the longest on tour, he can struggle on some courses but Matt Every isn’t exactly a bomber and Bay Hill can be won on the greens.

Peculiarly, that is where Kisner has struggled this season. He is 80th in strokes gained putting but don’t expect that to last long, he ranked third on tour last year. Where he has excelled early in the season is tee-to-green, he ranks 9th on tour for strokes gained and once his putter heats up, which it eventually will, he can win.

Kisner finished 11th at the WGC Mexico his third top-15 of 2017 following a T4 at the Sony Open and T10 and Pebble Beach. It won’t be long before he is back amongst the winners’ circle. Back him at 66/1 (Paddy Power) and get 1/5 odds for a top-7 finish.
