Arnold Palmer Invitational Tips: Brendan Steele
Tee-to-green his game is in terrific shape and should go close if the putter behaves.
Regular readers might be getting tired of backing Brendan Steele for no reward but we must stick with him.
This is the fourth time I’ve tipped him in 2015 but he’s playing so well tee-to-green I’m convinced a tournament will go his way.
Steele is currently ranked 14th in strokes gained tee-to-green and it’s just the putter that keeps letting him down at crucial moments.
The 31-year-old hasn’t missed a cut all season and has three top-15s in his last five starts.
Last year Steele finished an encouraging T20 and whilst he continues to play well he is a value bet at 100/1 (Coral).
